Meet Our Founder & Cosmetic Formulator
LaDonna Grace is the founder and creator behind Gracie’s Crowne — a faith-based botanical wellness brand inspired by healing, restoration, and generational beauty legacy.
Born into a powerhouse dynasty of salon owners from both grandparents, both parents, siblings, aunt and cousins, raised around cosmetology and black beauty culture; LaDonna is living proof that hair care excellence is passed down through generations. While her entire family stepped behind the chair, LaDonna chose a different path for her inheritance and took her family's gift of "BLESSED- HAIR GROWTH HANDS" straight to the lab. Anchored by the legacy of her paternal great-grandmother and her namesake, Lady Grace (Gracie Mae Johnson)—an iconic mid-century Hair Show Champion and Ebony and Jet magazine hair trailblazer—she aligned her rich heritage with her love for science. Realizing she could make a greater impact by using chemistry to focus on what goes on the scalp rather than just styling the hair.
Inspired by this rich heritage dynasty, LaDonna later began her own personal natural hair journey after becoming frustrated with products that failed to support true scalp and hair health. What began as personal research soon evolved into handcrafted botanical formulas designed to nourish, restore, and heal.
Her passion expanded even deeper while searching for natural support options for her children’s skin and scalp concerns, including psoriasis, eczema, dryness, and irritation. Through years of trial, research, and intentional formulation, LaDonna became the master cosmetic formulator building the ultimate foundation for healthy hair;
Gracie’s Crowne was born.
